Following the Refugee Household’s initial appointment with Services Australia, CSGs should assist them to apply for a Tax File Number (TFN) online using the Australian Taxation Office’s Individual Auto Registration tool.
Applying promptly helps ensure the Household is prepared for employment opportunities and can access government services that require a TFN.
