Work + Welcome

Work + Welcome is a new program that formalises and expands CRSA’s work with Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB), harnessing the power of the community sponsorship model to help scale and enrich the employment pathway for refugees – the Skilled Refugee Labour Agreement Pilot.

Through this labour pathway, TBB matches skilled refugees with Australian companies and businesses in need of their skills. By utilising this pathway, employers gain valuable talent and displaced people have a chance to rebuild their careers and lives in Australia.  

CRSA trains and supports community sponsor groups to provide holistic settlement and integration support to those arriving through the labour pathway, making the process easier for  both the newcomer employees and the employers that they are working for. We also seek to help community supporter groups engage with the pathway to help refugees known to them find opportunities to live and work in Australia. 

Through Work + Welcome, CRSA and TBB are working to:

• Secure sustainable outcomes for both refugees and Australian employers

• Document and strengthen work that’s already making a difference

• Support the growth and permanence of labour mobility pathways

•Demonstrate the power and flexibility of community sponsorship
