CRSA’s Background Check Requirements #
Every participating group member must complete and maintain the required background checks before and during their involvement in a CRSA program.

Required background checks #
Background checks are mandatory
Every participating group member must provide:- A National Police Check.- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent.
Why background checks are required #
CRSA programs involve Community Supporter Groups undertaking unsupervised and self-directed activities with refugee households. Background checks help ensure all group members are suitable to participate and give confidence to refugee participants, partner organisations and other stakeholders.
National Police Check requirements #
National Police Checks reflect a person’s status at the time they are issued and do not have an expiry date. For this reason, CRSA requires a recently issued check when you apply.
