CRSA’s Background Check Requirements #
Every participating group member must complete and maintain the required background checks before and during their involvement in a CRSA program.
At a glance #
- National Police Check required.
- Working with Children Check (or equivalent) required.
- Checks must remain valid throughout participation.

Community asset mapping #
Community or asset mapping is a community development approach that identifies the people, places and organisations that can contribute to welcoming and supporting newcomers.
Every community has valuable assets, including facilities such as libraries, community centres, parks and local businesses, as well as individuals, volunteer groups and community organisations with useful skills, knowledge and networks. Taking time to identify these resources before arrival can strengthen your group’s ability to support the Household throughout their settlement journey.
