How Do We Set Our Budget? #
Your group’s budget should reflect the level of financial support needed to help a newcomer household during their initial settlement period.

Budgeting for your group’s support #
Optional role: Treasurer
Your group will need to set aside funds to support the newcomer household during their initial stages in Australia. These funds should be managed through a bank account established by your group.
What affects your budget? #
As a guide, most groups fundraise between $5,000 and $25,000, depending on their circumstances and the level of in-kind support available.
When preparing your Settlement Plan, estimate the amount your group would need to support the largest household you could realistically welcome.
