In August, we marked the 12-month anniversary of the first refugees arriving to Australia through the CRISP program.

Comprising of a group of regular everyday Australians, many community support groups (CSGs) have decided that they want to take an active part in welcoming refugee families. As the CRISP programs begins to wrap up its first 12 months, many CSGs are coming to the end of the commitment to their support of their refugee family.

‘The Urban Monk’ group, has been supporting a family of 4 for the past 12 months. Based in Goulburn NSW, they have been tirelessly putting aside time and effort to help the Alkhusi family get settled into their new home.

We have invited their group coordinator, Maggie Patterson, to share about the group’s experience from this first year of the program. Join us in this webinar as we sit down with them to reflect on this amazing 12 month milestone.
