Application and Preparation Info Session

by | Posted to: Events | Tags: , Date: Every Friday Start time: 1:00 pm Location: via Zoom

The CRISP Preparation information session provides information about the application and preparation phase of for the ‘CRISP’ (Community Refugee Integration and Settlement Pilot). We’ll be answering questions like:

  • How many people should we have in our group?
  • How do we fundraise? And how much will we need?
  • How much do we need to know about ‘settlement’ to apply?
  • What is covered in training?

Further details can be found in the CRISP Group Preparation Guidebook, by contacting Nat Medcalf nat.medcalf@refugeesponsorship.org.au 0492 944 857 or by registering for a live weekly Application and Preparation Q&A session here.

*Please note that this session is for Australian-based community groups who are looking to welcome and support a refugee household unknown to them, referred to the program by UNHCR via the Australian Department of Home Affairs. If you overseas and seeking asylum, or based in Australia and looking to support someone already known to you, please see our FAQ page for more information.

This will be a time to reflect, connect, and recognise the amazing efforts of community supporter groups – with a special highlight: the CRISP Volunteer Awards 2025!

Do you know someone who’s gone above and beyond in supporting refugee newcomers?
Maybe they’re the calm in a crisis, the glue that holds the team together, or a newcomer who now gives back through volunteering. If so, we want to hear about them!

You can nominate a CRISP community supporter group volunteer by completing the form below.

For questions or further information, please contact the CRSA team directly at community@refugeesponsorship.org.au.

We hope to see you there!
