‘Choose Welcome’ Awards Night
11 June 2026, 6.30pm – 9pm AEST
The community sponsorship Awards Evening will be a night to celebrate the great work being done across Australia by everyday Australians involved in community sponsorship of refugees. The evening will include drinks, canapes, guest speakers and the community sponsorship awards ceremony . Tickets are limited and can be secured via the Humanitix link below.

‘Choose Welcome’ National Gathering
12 June 2026, 8.30am – 5pmÂ
Taking place the following day will be the National Gathering, an in-person full day of engaging and insightful discussions, panels, workshops and networking opportunities. We have a great line up of speakers including the inspiring and thought-provoking Samah Shda, founder and CEO of Unbound Stories, who will provide an opening provocation to set the tone for the day.
Join the wide variety of speakers and panellists to explore the power of community-led welcome and discuss what it takes to strengthen and grow a vibrant, multi-faceted community sponsorship movement that benefits newcomers, their supporters and the broader Australian community.
