Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia (CRSA) is excited to be returning to Perth during Welcoming Week, 15-17 September 2026, for a series of inspiring community events.
Join Romy Vitailen (National CRISP Program Director) and Blaise Itabelo (National Manager of Community Partnerships & Engagement) to learn about the Community Refugee Integration & Settlement Program (CRISP), hear what welcome looks like in practice, meet the people making it possible and discover practical ways you can choose welcome in your own community.

1. Rainbow Refugee Perth Showcase and Sundowner
An uplifting evening hosted by Rainbow Refugee Perth, locals who have extended welcome and newcomers building new lives through the CRISP. Deputy Mayor David Goncalves will also join us for an evening of inspiring stories, meaningful connections and light refreshments.

2. Growing Welcome in WA: A Sector Update on the CRISP
Join CRSA for a sector update on the growing role of community-led support in refugee settlement through the CRISP. Hear the latest updates on the CRISP program in WA and nationally, achievements and learnings from the pilot and the role that civil society organisations can play in empowering members and supporters to welcome refugee newcomers.

3. Welcoming Refugees in WA: Community Sponsorship & the CRISP
Join CRSA for one of two inspiring community information events that explore how the CRISP turns goodwill into practical action and how you can be part of it. Hear firsthand from local community members about what inspired them to extend welcome, alongside newcomers sharing their experience of building a new life in Western Australia.
